EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
Currently I’m enrolled at Deakin University Waurn Ponds in a Postgraduate Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. At the moment however I am on an intermission year but resuming 2013 into second year. My current place of work is Great Ocean Road Surf Tours as a surf instructor with qualifications as a Bronze Community Level Lifesaver and Level 1 Surf Coach with Level 2 First Aid.
My medical work experience only really draws from some basic first aid with some small cut injuries that occur when teaching surfing. I hope that Surfing Doctors will help me to broaden my horizons with surfing related medicine and help to shape my career to go down a surfing related track in the future.
I have also worked as a medical receptionist for 6 years from the age of 15 to 21 and have completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Monash University in Melbourne Australia.
ANY OTHER INFORMATION THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO ADD ABOUT YOURSELF:
I’m a very enthusiastic surfer who is constantly looking to improve his surfing through trying new boards and new waves and the best place to try new waves is to travel the world. I also have a great passion for medicine and it has always been a dream to combine the two. I’m looking forward to hopefully catching some great waves with you guys in the future and learning a lot in the process.
