COOKING waves at G-land…

The waves have been pumping, a couple of 6-8 foot days, boards are being broken, leashes snapped, heads have hit the reef, but most of all, everyone’s been getting big barrelling G-land. Ryan is so bummed about his board he won’t even talk us through it, he’s just holding a bintang in one hand and walking around looking sad and shaking his head… Laurie smacked his head so hard on the reef that he thought he was going to pass out, and that on top of yesterday getting the pointy end of someone else’s board straight in his mouth, taking a little chunk out… he’s been charging though, and apparently the pain has been worth it….

A few of the guys went out to Tiger Tracks for some fun 4-5 foot waves, Jim Beam decided to head back to the camp and pick up everyone takeaway lunch because it didn’t look like anyone was keen to leave….

The level of stoke culminated in an inpromptu and lengthy bintang session last night, and the duty free Jim Beam was seen off in a very businesslike fashion… although it took well into the night. Impressively Stevo and some of the other crew were still up early for a pre surf yoga session…and have been surfing all day…

Rumours spread fast. Someone made up that today’s new arrivals would be a group of 8 girls… and by dinner time, it was a group of 8, blond, single, Swedish volleyball playing chicks. The jungle wreaks havoc on the mind, and needless to say, not a volleyball player in sight among the new arrivals….

Camp is mellow, far from capacity. We’ve just enjoyed another classic sunset from the deck, with the tunes going in the background…

Looking forward to dinner and a good night’s sleep…
