Resident medical officer in Emergency Medicine in Newcastle, NSW.

Oman, Nicaragua, Canary Islands

PREVIOUS BENEVOLENT WORK:
Mercy Centre, Khlong Toei Slums (Bangkok): volunteered medical service to the HIV and drugs rehabilitation centre and non-medical work with the orphanage.
Dubai Centre for Special Needs: volunteered part time care for children living with disability.

TRAVEL EXPERIENCE:
East Coast Australia, Fiji, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Bahrain, Oman, UAE, Canada, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia.

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
I was born and raised as an expat in the UAE. My medical education and foundation training was completed in Leeds, UK. I am now living in Australia building my acute and emergency care skills in ED and am a budding Sports physician currently in process of joining specialty registrar program with Australasian College of Sports and Exercise Physicians.

ANECDOTAL STORIES:
Aussie sharks obviously like the scent of British meat as I seem to encounter them a lot here!

I am really looking forward to working with the surf docs and being part of the good work they do! I hope to give something back to the local communities whilst enjoying a nice wave or two.
