Day 1, May 22nd. Bali.
Candidates fly to Bali from overseas destinations. Prepare for early morning speed-boat departure the following day.
Always hoping for swell.
Day 2, May 23rd. Speedboat.
05:00 – 11:30 Speedboat departs Tuban to arrive at Plenkung Reserve.
11:30 – 15:00 Sign in attendance registry, acclimatisation to accommodation, an opportunity to surf.
15:00 – 19:00 Conference introduction, organisation update and future direction discussion.
19:000 – 22:30 Welcome ceremony to all delegates.
Day 3, May 24th. Opening day.
06:00 – Morning yoga.
07:00 – Breakfast.
MORNING SESSIONS COMMENCE AT 08:00.
Common surfing orthopaedic trauma management – Dr Nick Maister.
Dealing with various toxidromes in the tropics – Dr Phil Chapman.
Eyecare in the emergency department – an update on current practice Dr Simon Nothling.

Looking after yourself as a doctor in the remote tropical setting Dr Phil Chapman.

Day 5, May 26th

Surfing Advanced Life Support – full day practical session Dr Jon Cohen, Dr Phillip Chapman, Dr Dave Hately.
No snaking in the jungle, or you will get burned.
Day 6, May 27th
06:00 – Morning yoga.
07:00 – Breakfast.

Preparing for the worst – medical kit essentials Dr Jon Cohen.
Remote Indonesian retrieval Dr Phillip Chapman.

AFTERNOON SESSIONS COMMENCE AT 14:00.
Wound care essentials in the tropics Dr Dave Hately.
Analgesia in the resource deplete setting Dr Dennis Millard.

Village medical clinic day – all delegates to participate.
19:00 Dinner and sunset closing ceremony.
Day 8, May 29th. Speedboat.

07:00 – Breakfast
08:00 – Speedboat trip back to Bali.
Midday: Option to visit BIMC Emergency Department for Indonesian perspective on medical retrieval in Bali and surrounding islands.
Travel back to home country by own means.
