Position – Orthopaedic surgeon (Victoria – Australia)

Nick is an Orthopaedic surgeon based in Melbourne and the surf coast of Victoria, Australia. Nick has been part of the Surfing Doctors since 2012 and regular attendee at the annual conference, he has done multiple stints as the G Land camp doctor over this time.

Nick has a special interest in sports and surfing injuries and their surgical as well as non-operative management in addition to hip and knee replacement surgery. As a former Physiotherapist, the end game of the patient is always in mind, be this a return to surfing or other sports.

Being part of the Surfing Doctors has been an incredible way to meet with other like-minded people across multiple medical disciplines and to build networks. This fuels many formal and informal discussion, often with a slightly different spin from that within the hospital networks. It has certainly been an excellent way to meet many colleagues that become friends for life.
