PGY2 Resident on the Sunny Coast at SCUH

UQ for med school and work at the Sunny Coast, Gympie and Emerald.

Rural Generalism with a critical care focus (Anaesthetics and ED). Plans for branching into travel and expedition medicine

Currimundi Beach, Sunshine Coast

What is your favourite surf destination?

Indonesia 

Travel experience?

I’ve travelled extensively through Europe (lived in Sweden for six months) and Asia, including a medical placement in Nepal. Big plans for Central America next year and a lap of Australia in my Troopy!

Best surf trip ever?

Lombok – the ride out to Mawi is an experience in itself! Special mention to riding 1 footers in front of Mount Fuji at Kamikura in Japan 

Worst surf trip ever?

Haven’t had a bad one!

Best thing about surfing?

The thrill of the chase for the perfect wave and clocking off from the hustle and bustle 

Best advice you were ever given with regards to surfing?

No Bintang, no power

Favourite surfer in the world and why? 

Mikey February for his seamless style and experimentation with different boards in remote places

Current go-to surfboards? (make and dims)
